An all Volunteer Board!

Officers

Rick Peters, President

Rick has two children currently attending CTE, Molly, 10, and Adam, 7.  He has a third child, Lucy, 2 who is already well-versed in the dramatic arts.  Rick works for the Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney along with his wife, Christy.  He is an attorney in the civil division, and supervises the youth court program.  Rick's interests include nearly all sports and useless pop-culture trivia.

Kim Gubbe, Vice President

Kim's son Dylan is in his sixth year at CTE and Kim is now on her second year on the board. She volunteered the first few years at CTE for everything and became hooked. The program has been such a learning event for both Dylan and her, that she hopes to continue with what they consider their community for years!  Kim works full-time for Thurston PUD as Operations Manager and also serves on her home owners association as Treasurer.

Louise Doran, Secretary

Members

Cynthia Kettel

Since 1990, Cynthia has been impressed with the talent, spirit of camaraderie, genuine affection and wholehearted acceptance shared by staff and students who participate in CTE. She has witnessed beautiful personalities develop and new direction and purpose for troubled teens who find safety amidst firm guidance under the direction of gifted mentors. Having received similar values as a youngster with the University of Tennessee’s Cadek’s Conservatory of Fine Arts, Cynthia has utilized many of the skills acquired in her theatrical training during her diverse career as a Marketing Director for Pan American World Airways, Midway Airlines, National Airlines, Publisher for Circle Fine Art, Chairman of Actimagination, a successful toy design firm, and most recently as the Broker for Lighthouse Real Estate. Serving on the Board is her way to re-pay the founders, faithful Board Members and like-minded, involved and caring parents who continually and consistently put their children first

David Kettel

David left a successful corporate career that required traveling to devote more time to his family.  He established a successful custom commercial and residential contracting business, Lighthouse Construction, and is an Associate Broker with Lighthouse Real Estate.  The chief benefit of “owning the company” is the flexibility to be at every baseball game, school and CTE performance.  David has cheerfully attended every CTE performance, ushered, served cookies and provided set props since 2000.  He has been blessed to witness the growth, development and friendships that Tyler and Hunter have enjoyed as young CTE artisans.

Liz Klaniecki

Liz enrolled three of her children, Katie, Bryant and Suzannah, in CTE 1999 not really knowing what CTE was, but needed childcare that summer. Wow!! Her kids loved it and have repeated that incredible experience each summer. Liz is a Registered Dental Hygienist for Fisher Jones Family Dentistry and owns a Scrapbook business through Creative Memories.
