About the CTE 2003 Summer Workshops

CTE will offer its four customary summer workshops: Arts Festival, Showcase, Intensive and Production Team.

Each workshop helps the participants learn   about    and    develop   skills   and enhanced perspectives in the visual and

performing arts through a series of workshop classes taught by CTE faculty and interns.

Students will take two classes per week, each for five 45-minute periods.  Class learning and activities will be featured   in

evening   recitals    and exhibitions featuring  participants.

The workshops will also offer students an opportunity to participate in a performance designed to complement the skills acquired through coursework.

Grants and Fundraising

Do you have something CTE could use? Donations of goods and services help to keep CTE affordable for many families. Materials donated for sets, art classes, and playbills free up dollars for operating costs and scholarships.

Do you know a business that might be interested in donating such goods or services? We would be happy to offer advertising in our playbills in exchange. If so please contact Greg Wellsandt at 754-9613 or Joe Strain at 491-4330. Thanks!

Here are some ideas of the kinds of materials and services we could use:

Building Materials: Plywood, lumber, paint, paintbrushes, and more, to build sets.

Services: Photocopying, photo  processing, printing playbills and printing T-shirts.

Concessions: CTE sells a variety of items at shows – coffee, pop, candy, water and baked goods. We also sponsor BBQ’s, selling pizzas, hamburgers, hot dogs and chips.
